"Tool Tags"

New Tool Tags from Command Tooling Systems are durable and reusable identification tags that snap easily onto CT40 and CT50 toolholders used in machining centers.

Molded of durable plastic, these patent pending snap-on Tool Tags are an ideal replacement for paper tags that require tie wires or strings to attach to the toolholder. Paper tags can't be reused. They tear off and get lost. They soil and damage quickly.

By comparison, Command Tool Tags snap onto the tool and stay on. They lock in place and won't rotate on the holder so aligning them on a tool cart or setup rack is fast. Easily written on with grease pencil or marker, a Tool Tag has ample space to hold all pertinent information for a tool setup such as tool number, tool size and type, part number, job number and preset tool length.

During machine setup, having complete tool and job information clearly in view reduces the chance of expensive and time-consuming setup errors. When removing tools from the machine for the next job, simply snap the Tool Tag onto the correct tool and return to the tool room for the next job. Tool Tags are also a real help in loading tools for a series of jobs.

Ruggedly designed for repeated use in the shop environment, information on Command Tool Tags can be erased quickly with a rag using ordinary shop cleaner. Bright yellow and bright orange finish stands up to repeated use and reflects Tool Tag information so it's easily readable.

Command Tool Tags are available in packages of 20 for Cat 40 toolholders (yellow tags) and for Cat 50 toolholders (orange tags).
